Dave X (They/Them, St. Louis, MO) began their dance training at age 13 from Best Dance and Talent Center under the direction of Ms. Judy Best- Person and later attended Central Visual and Performing Arts High School. Dave continued their education at California Institute of the Arts, receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance in 2021. Being in L.A. made it possible for Dave to earn opportunities to work with music artists like Solange Knowles, Vince Staples and Ingrid Michaelson along with roles in campaigns for Calvin Klein and Uniqlo. After school, Dave enhanced their career in the concert dance realm. Dave was a guest artist for L.A. Contemporary Dance Company, Ishida Dance Company in Houston, L.E.D company in Boise, and the TRIBE Multidisciplinary Arts Collective under the direction of Shamel Pitts in New York. Dave is thrilled to be back for their second season with Saint Louis Dance Theatre.
